Harvest date:  

Winemaking: Gently vinified in stainless steel open fermenters. Hand plunged and basket pressed at dryness. 30% had up to 2 weeks extended skin contact.

Maturation for 15 months in 25% new and 75% older French and American oak barriques.



Cellaring: 10+ Years

Alc: 14.0%




A Perfect Match


Lamb Shank Soup


2 lamb shanks

1 cup of pearl barley

1 bouquet garni

2 tablespoons of tomato paste

1 large garlic clove, sliced

1 to 2 litres of chicken stock

3 peeled sticks of celery, sliced

1 medium onion diced

1 medium parsnip, diced

1 small to medium turnip, diced

1 small to medium swede, diced

1 medium carrot, diced

1 handful of french beans, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

Salt & pepper to season

Add one cup of Edwards Shiraz


• Bring to boil in a covered saucepan, and then gently simmer for approximately two hours.  Serve with crusty bread and a glass of Edwards Shiraz.

Please note: if using a pressure cooker simmer for 40 minutes after boiling point
